Well, it's official - my car has now experienced unseasonable Texas snow for the very first time! It's been a long time since I've lived in a place where snow actually touched the ground in front me... it was magical. And cold. Very, very cold for this former desert catalyst. ;+)

However, there is someone special who has given me a warm welcome to Austin... Darcy Volden-Hoag of SecretsofHerSuccess.com! As a true native of Austin (rare to find such folks in any city!), she has been my "Austin angel" in introducing me to the Internet Marketers Association and Austin traditions, like twirling under the city's holiday tree made of lights. Thank you, Darcy!

Between exploring my new city and helping my clients with intentional evolution through the special sessions I'm offering (see above), I've been keeping busy by being a guest on several internet radio shows (including one with Darcy this week on Business Vision Mapping!). My Top Five On What's Coming in 2009 (And Closing 2008!)

This time of year is when people naturally want to know what's coming next. As both a catalyst and an intuitive, I am privileged to have a unique vantage point to see a little further down the road than the average bear. These might be relevant for you or your business.

Without further ado, and in random order, here are the top five most significant observations I have for wha's coming in 2009.

• Innerpreneurship, or using soul-driven entrepreneurial business for both self-growth and changing the world, becomes a way of life for a lot more people.
  
  
• Learning how to access "higher" consciousness, personal healing and masculine/feminine creative energies emerges as a new priority for people previously unaware of such concepts.
  
  
• Systems and lateral thinking become more significant skills, where the piece is considered in the context of the whole and one piece becomes applicable to a related whole.
  
  
• A new financial system and relationship with money as an energy will be birthed for people individually and collectively.
  
  
• Video will become more predominant as a tool for communication and marketing in the marketplace.

By the way, I chose the top five because five is the number of adventure, spontaneity and "holding on to your socks" numerologically. This year, 2008, has globally been about beginnings, leadership and pioneering change. And 2009 is a '2' year (actually, a master number '11' year), which emphasizes partnership, cooperation and connection. It will be a very different, yet naturally progressive, energy - you might already be feeling its effects!

One of the most important things you can do to prepare for 2009 is to close out 2008 for yourself. There is a simple and effective ritual that you can do for yourself, ideally during the new moon on December 27 (for added astrological support). Make two lists for yourself - the first being a summary of what 2008 was for you and who you were during the year. The second list is for who you are becoming and what you are attracting intentionally in 2009. Light a red or white candle and burn the 2008 list, releasing that energy to the Universe. As the paper burns, notice if there are any symbols, shapes or messages in the flames or ashes for you. When the burning is complete, blow out the candle to signify the end of that energy. Re-light the candle and burn your 2009 list, sending your intentions to the Universe, and be aware of potential messages coming to you. Once complete, blow out the candle again, and pay attention to how you feel and what messages you receive as a result of the ritual. These are likely to be guiding messages for in the initiation of relationship between you and the energy of the new year.

My intention is that 2009 will bring you not only much amazing and wondrous abundance in every way but also the deeply satisfying joy that comes from living in alignment with who you are and expressing that with integrity in service to the world. And so it is...

And lastly, may the final passing of 2008 be filled with robust completion, contentment and connection to self, source and the world around you. ;+)
