Creative Catalyst

My Story

I remember always feeling ‘different’ from everybody else… like I just ‘knew’ things. It seemed like I saw things differently, and what other people experienced wasn’t what I did even though we were in the same situations. It was like I could tap into a different level somehow – I know now that was psychic energy, but then, it was confusing. (I mean - how could anyone MISS the sparkly light / dead uncle in the room / the difference between what people said and did like that???)

Learning things didn’t feel brand-new to me either – instead, it felt like I was remembering what I already knew somehow. And people told me that things just worked better when I was around, but nobody knew why. That one caused me a lot of grief in my career – the more I tried to let my colleagues know I could be a generalist in a world of specialization, the more I felt boxed in by the systems that I was supposed to fit into… I became what I called ‘the incredible shrinking woman’ to survive.

One doesn’t think of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (where I grew up) as being full of intuitive support… I had lots of intelligence, physical energy and the gift of ‘sight’, but it wasn’t treasured - it just got me into trouble. It wasn’t until I was a teenager until I learned that my grandmother had been psychic, so I spent a lot of years shutting down my greatest natural talent to ‘blend in’ with everybody else. I got good at understanding very quickly what role I needed to fit and how to meet others’ expectations, and that was how I lived for a long time.

However, by my early twenties, I found my way to freedom through working really hard – corporate jobs by day and serial entrepreneurial ventures ‘on the side’. Now I see that helped me become ‘bi-lingual’ because I had to find a way to fit in to other people’s worlds… I had to speak their language, so I did ‘corporate’ speak really well. Although I can still speak it when pressed, it’s a bit rusty - now I speak the languages of business and of spirit, which are two of my best loves in life.

The other golden thread in my life is my innate desire to ‘help people’ (my inner marketer is cringing as I write that, but it is the truth). I felt people’s pain, and I did whatever I knew how to do to help them feel better. And, usually, they did. I was a ‘catalyst’ in shifting their energy in new ways that released the old, stuck and stagnant energy that was making them feel bad and made room for new possibilities that were dynamic, exciting and pulled them forward.

Through the last few decades, that gift has continuously refined itself to my current focus – helping people to discover their own inner light, their soul’s purpose, and then translate that into a way to share who they are in a way that creates value for others through having their own business. They get to do what they love for people who need what they offer and are willing to pay for it, they make a living, everyone’s life is better as a result… it’s a beautiful thing.

I figure that I am (still) helping people, only now I do it by working with and through consciously creative, energy-sensitive, heart-centered, soul-driven people who become centers of influence in changing the world. So now my life purpose to ‘help people’ actually touches the lives of hundreds of thousands of people – and I couldn’t do it without you and the people in my world. I am honored and blessed for the privilege.

In the words of my clients:

“Lynn, I have to say you are so the g-word <guru>. Not to scare you with this word, but it's true. As I see it, you use your light to help illuminate the light within others and you meet them where they are to do so, even when their bulbs are dim! But all of us can shine bright, we just get covered with the dust of life and we need our catalyst (aka g-word) {def: guru} to help us sweep it off. Thank you for helping me change my life.”

“What caught my ear with Lynn was the first time when I met her and she told me that she was a catalyst for entrepreneurs. In other words, if you’re looking to do something really, really, really fast - that’s what she helps you do. If you have an idea and you want to implement it, by inserting a catalyst into that, it makes what normally would happen in maybe a year or two years or three years suddenly happen in two, three, four days, maybe a week, cutting things down an enormous time. That’s originally where I got tied into you, Lynn, was the way that you taught me how to get a lot done in a very short period of time. You got my mind thinking in new parameters. Like a lightswitch. Catalyst. There was a ‘before catalyst’ curve and an ‘after catalyst’ curve. You showed me to ask: ‘What’s in here?’ And then to take action on it!”
